JavaScript
Client-side JavaScript examples over the years.
Markup Tool Example
The 2000 version of this JavaScript Markup Tool enabled any end-user (using Internet Explorer 5 or above) to mark up selected text in form fields with HTML tags - such as in a web-based administration tool.
Image-Link Rotator
This "Image-Link Rotator" JavaScript creates an "animated gif"-like effect by rotating several image files. Each image in the animation can link to its own different URL. Older browsers or those with JavaScript disabled will see only the first image and link and no animation.
Multi-Submit - Multiple Form Submissions
This JavaScript was created to work with a server-side CGI that was able to send only one e-mail at a time. The script worked with several pages set up in frames and would submit one or multiple mails to the CGI depending on which "send to" boxes were checked on the form. The form itself was actually made up of many smaller forms (i.e. formA, formB, etc. seen in the code) on one page, which appeared to be a single form.
Dynamic Form
Example of a dynamic form which uses JavaScript to calculate fields based upon radio button selections.
I have also used JavaScript in a wide variety of other applications such as form validation, time-based messages, expandable navigation outline, etc. I'm able to customize other scripts or write original scripts to meet specifications.
